On fear
“The cave of the blue dragon is ominous.
Only the fearless dare to enter.
It is here that the forest of patterns is clearly revealed.
It is here that the one ripe pearl is hidden.”

No-mind
Realizing that emptiness is form, and form is emptiness, the mind becomes free to fulfill everything that is required of it. Losing its chains, it understands the flowing nature of reality, and speaks forth uncontrived being. What is mastery then, if not a matter of understanding and gentle practice as opposed to force and loquacity?
The rarefied world of abstraction is the world of the dead and the unreal, the haunt of the academician and the fetichist. Fluidity is the process of life itself, the vitality that arises through the discharge of its own power.
The highest achievement of the intellect is its own silence. Mushin no shin.
On mutual integration
Love is always the mutual dance that spirals ever upwards, towards integration. And like every integrative force, it is at once delightful and terrifying to behold — for no other force possesses such transformative power. Love is, however, the province of the free and the intrepid: it is the vital discharge of power and ability, the constant yes-saying to life. For if it fails to elevate and transform, it becomes mere co-dependence, and a sorry state of affairs where each person projects their unconscious drives and fears on another person. No integration, merely shared loneliness.
